Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The White Sail, C.1921-1934; And The Mele Bilo (I), C.1924 by Archibald Bertram Webb was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2015. The price achieved of GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,369.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Archibald Bertram Webb - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Hills, which sold at auction in September 2015 for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 6,432.63).

Die Arbeit The White Sail, C.1921-1934; And The Mele Bilo (I), C.1924 von Archibald Bertram Webb kam im September 2015 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.750,00 (€ 2.369,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Archibald Bertram Webb mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Hills beobachtet, die im September 2015 für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 6.432,63) versteigert wurde.
