Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Old Mill, South Perth; Canning Bridge From South Perth; And The Swamp Monger'S Lake Two Editions, C.1921-22 by Archibald Bertram Webb was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,692.80) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Archibald Bertram Webb - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Hills, which sold at auction in September 2015 for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 6,432.63).
