Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nedlands, C.1921-22; And The Mele Bilo (I), C.1924 by Archibald Bertram Webb was sold in the Australian Art auction at Christies in London in September 2015. The price achieved of GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,369.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Archibald Bertram Webb - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Hills, which sold at auction in September 2015 for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 6,432.63).

Die Arbeit Nedlands, C.1921-22; And The Mele Bilo (I), C.1924 von Archibald Bertram Webb wurde im September 2015 in der Auktion Australian Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.750,00 (€ 2.369,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Archibald Bertram Webb mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Hills beobachtet, die im September 2015 für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 6.432,63) versteigert wurde.
