Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Hillside, C.1921-28 by Archibald Bertram Webb was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,523.52) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Archibald Bertram Webb have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Hills in September 2015 with an auction result of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 6,432.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Hillside, C.1921-28 von Archibald Bertram Webb kam im September 2015 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.523,52) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Archibald Bertram Webb auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Hills im September 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 6.432,63).
