This artwork by Archibald Bertram Webb achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in September 2015. In the Australian Art auction, the work The Haunt Of The Heron, C.1921-28 sold for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,724.15) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Archibald Bertram Webb; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Hills sold at auction in September 2015 with the realized price of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 6,432.63).
