In November 2021 Phillips in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work Kate Moss, New York by Anton Corbijn. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 18,900.00 (€ 22,190.38), 58% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Anton Corbijn; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Kraftwerk I-IV, Heads of the Kraftwerk mannequins, Barcelona, 1981 sold at auction in November this year with the realized price of EUR 44,100.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 58 % übertroffen
Im November 2021 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kate Moss, New York von Anton Corbijn zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 18.900,00 (€ 22.190,38) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Anton Corbijn; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Kraftwerk I-IV, Heads of the Kraftwerk mannequins, Barcelona, 1981 im November diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 44.100,00.
