It achieved a price of USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,320.41), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 39%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anthony Thieme achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Evening Light on the Suwannee River in September 2005 with an auction result of USD 144,000.00 (€ 119,422.79).

Die Arbeit Seaport Town von Anthony Thieme kam im Oktober 2015 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.320,41) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 39%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anthony Thieme erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Evening Light on the Suwannee River im September 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 144.000,00 (€ 119.422,79).
