Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January this year Bonhams held the auction American Art | Bonhams Skinner, which included the work Autumn Scene with Cows by the Banks of a Stream by Anthony Thieme. Here, the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 6,375.00 (€ 5,871.25). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anthony Thieme achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Evening Light on the Suwannee River in September 2005 with an auction result of USD 144,000.00 (€ 119,422.79).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Januar diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion American Art | Bonhams Skinner durch, in der auch die Arbeit Autumn Scene with Cows by the Banks of a Stream von Anthony Thieme zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 6.375,00 (€ 5.871,25) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anthony Thieme erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Evening Light on the Suwannee River im September 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 144.000,00 (€ 119.422,79).
