Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In August last year Bonhams in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Rockport Fishing Boats by Anthony Thieme. The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,080.00 (€ 4,053.65), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anthony Thieme achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Evening Light on the Suwannee River in September 2005 with an auction result of USD 144,000.00 (€ 119,422.79).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im August letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rockport Fishing Boats von Anthony Thieme zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 4.080,00 (€ 4.053,65) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anthony Thieme erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Evening Light on the Suwannee River im September 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 144.000,00 (€ 119.422,79).
