The price achieved of USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,543.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Anthony Thieme have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Evening Light on the Suwannee River in September 2005 with an auction result of USD 144,000.00 (€ 119,422.79).
