Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2019 Christies in New York held the auction American Art Online, which included the work Patio Mediterreaneo by Anthony Thieme. The »bidding war« ended at USD 11,875.00 (€ 10,651.18), 19% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anthony Thieme achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Evening Light on the Suwannee River in September 2005 with an auction result of USD 144,000.00 (€ 119,422.79).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Patio Mediterreaneo von Anthony Thieme zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 10.651,18) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anthony Thieme erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Evening Light on the Suwannee River im September 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 144.000,00 (€ 119.422,79).
