Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2019 Christies in New York held the auction American Art Online, which included the work Rooftops, Gloucester by Anthony Thieme. The price achieved of USD 16,250.00 (€ 14,575.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Anthony Thieme have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Evening Light on the Suwannee River in September 2005 with an auction result of USD 144,000.00 (€ 119,422.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rooftops, Gloucester von Anthony Thieme zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 14.575,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anthony Thieme auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Evening Light on the Suwannee River im September 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 144.000,00 (€ 119.422,79).
