Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Darby In His Basket Kennel by Anthony Frederick Augustus Sandys was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2019. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 27,448.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anthony Frederick Augustus Sandys achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work British love'S Shadow in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 494,500.00 (€ 343,976.07).
