Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of James Anderson Rose, bust-length, his head turned to the right by Anthony Frederick Augustus Sandys was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 4,905.34) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anthony Frederick Augustus Sandys achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work British love'S Shadow in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 494,500.00 (€ 343,976.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of James Anderson Rose, bust-length, his head turned to the right von Anthony Frederick Augustus Sandys kam im Juli 2018 bei Christies in London zur Auktion.
