Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Portrait of John Christopherson; Self-portrait; Portrait of a school girl; and Portrait of John Wells by Anne E. Christopherson was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 100.00 (€ 127.20). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anne E. Christopherson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Roofs and holly trees, The Point, Greenwich; Woodbridge town hall; and Rooftops, Hyde Vale in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,544.09).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Portrait of John Christopherson; Self-portrait; Portrait of a school girl; and Portrait of John Wells von Anne E. Christopherson im Mai 2008 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 100,00 (€ 127,20) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anne E. Christopherson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Roofs and holly trees, The Point, Greenwich; Woodbridge town hall; and Rooftops, Hyde Vale im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.544,09).
