This artwork by Anne E. Christopherson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in May 2008. In the Christie's Interiors - Oak Edition auction, the work Blackwall Reach and cable ship; MV Schot making fast at Lovell's Wharf; and Cranes from Bay Wharf sold for GBP 1,062.50 (€ 1,351.55) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 600.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Anne E. Christopherson; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Roofs and holly trees, The Point, Greenwich; Woodbridge town hall; and Rooftops, Hyde Vale sold at auction in May 2008 with the realized price of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,544.09).
