Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Buffet by Anna Weyant was worth GBP 466,200.00 (€ 541,591.79) to a buyer in June last year. This price was achieved in the auction Modern & Contemporary Evening Auction at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 150,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anna Weyant - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Falling Woman, which sold at auction in May last year for USD 1,623,000.00 (€ 1,512,440.59).

Die Arbeit Buffet von Anna Weyant war einem Käufer im Juni letzten Jahres GBP 466.200,00 (€ 541.591,79) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Evening Auction bei Sothebys in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 150.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Anna Weyant mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Falling Woman beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für USD 1.623.000,00 (€ 1.512.440,59) versteigert wurde.
