Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ann Hamilton achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in October 2014. In the Collection Willem Peppler auction, the work Flectere sold for EUR 400.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 150.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ann Hamilton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Abc.Table in May 2004 with an auction result of USD 153,100.00 (€ 125,317.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ann Hamilton erzielte im Oktober 2014 bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Collection Willem Peppler wurde die Arbeit Flectere für EUR 400,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 150,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ann Hamilton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Abc.Table im Mai 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 153.100,00 (€ 125.317,18).
