This artwork by Anita Magsaysay-Ho achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2014. In the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Unknown sold for HKD 2,320,000.00 (€ 219,413.49) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 1,200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Anita Magsaysay-Ho have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work NAG-IIPON NG DAYAMI (GLEANERS) in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 13,860,000.00 (€ 1,688,933.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 93 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Anita Magsaysay-Ho erzielte im Mai 2014 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit Unknown für HKD 2.320.000,00 (€ 219.413,49) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 1.200.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anita Magsaysay-Ho auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit NAG-IIPON NG DAYAMI (GLEANERS) im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 13.860.000,00 (€ 1.688.933,64).
