Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Sea Creature by Anita Dube was sold in the South Asian Modern + Contemporary auction at Christies in New York in September 2014. It achieved a price of USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,423.98), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anita Dube - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sea Creature, which sold at auction in November 2007 for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 15,298.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sea Creature von Anita Dube wurde im September 2014 in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 7.423,98) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Für andere Arbeiten von Anita Dube mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sea Creature beobachtet, die im November 2007 für HKD 175.000,00 (€ 15.298,20) versteigert wurde.
