This artwork by Anita Dube achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in March 2009. In the South Asian Modern and Contemporary Art auction, the work Offering sold for USD 14,375.00 (€ 10,840.06) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Anita Dube; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Sea Creature sold at auction in November 2007 with the realized price of HKD 175,000.00 (€ 15,298.20).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Anita Dube erzielte im März 2009 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion South Asian Modern and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Offering für USD 14.375,00 (€ 10.840,06) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Anita Dube; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Sea Creature im November 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 175.000,00 (€ 15.298,20).
