Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Angki Purbandono could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction, the work Waiting For His Master changed hands for HKD 18,750.00 (€ 2,166.95) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Angki Purbandono have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Golden Dragon (Noodle Theory Series) in May 2012 with an auction result of HKD 106,250.00 (€ 11,068.42).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Angki Purbandono konnte im April 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art wechselte die Arbeit Waiting For His Master für HKD 18.750,00 (€ 2.166,95) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Angki Purbandono auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Golden Dragon (Noodle Theory Series) im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 106.250,00 (€ 11.068,42).
