Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work $ (Quadrant) by Andy Warhol was auctioned at Phillips in London in January 2016. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 150,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 170,500.00 (€ 223,261.82). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).
