Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Moonwalk by Andy Warhol was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2014. It achieved a price of USD 209,000.00 (€ 166,799.68), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).
