The work Details Of Renaissance Paintings (Leonardo Da Vinci, The Annunciation, 1472) (Feldman & Schellmann Ii.322) by Andy Warhol was sold in the Prints & Multiples Online auction at Sothebys in New York in December 2018. The »bidding war« ended at USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,004.89), 38% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).
