Auction result well in line with expectations
The work "Infinite" Sadness # 5 by Andy Dewantoro was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2010. The price achieved of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 4,642.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Andy Dewantoro - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Infinite Sadness, which sold at auction in April 2011 for HKD 112,500.00 (€ 9,776.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit "Infinite" Sadness # 5 von Andy Dewantoro wurde im Oktober 2010 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 4.642,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Andy Dewantoro mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Infinite Sadness beobachtet, die im April 2011 für HKD 112.500,00 (€ 9.776,67) versteigert wurde.
