Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Beech Hill by Andrew Wyeth was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March last year. The price achieved of USD 69,300.00 (€ 62,471.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andrew Wyeth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Day Dream in November last year with an auction result of USD 23,290,000.00 (€ 22,561,270.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Beech Hill von Andrew Wyeth kam im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 69.300,00 (€ 62.471,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andrew Wyeth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Day Dream im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 23.290.000,00 (€ 22.561.270,95).
