Auction result misses estimated price range

This work of art by Andrew Masullo could be acquired at Sothebys in London in December 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work (I) 2461 (Ii) 1797 changed hands for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,397.08) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Andrew Masullo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 1847; 1851; 1855; 1880; 2173 [Five Works|AID700456] in May last year with an auction result of USD 27,720.00 (€ 25,831.70).

Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Dieses Kunstwerk von Andrew Masullo konnte im Dezember 2007 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit (I) 2461 (Ii) 1797 für GBP 2.500,00 (€ 3.397,08) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Andrew Masullo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 1847; 1851; 1855; 1880; 2173 [Five Works|AID700456] im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.720,00 (€ 25.831,70).
