In November 2006 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art, Wildlife and Dogs, which included the work Blue Cock; And The Hawk by Andrew Beer. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 900.00 (€ 1,336.53), 50% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Andrew Beer; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Sky Pilot; And Guiding Star sold at auction in June 2006 with the realized price of GBP 1,560.00 (€ 2,257.29).
