Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2007 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art, Wildlife & Dogs, which included the work Great surprise by Andrew Beer. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 500.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 540.00 (€ 794.65) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Andrew Beer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sky Pilot; And Guiding Star, which sold at auction in June 2006 for GBP 1,560.00 (€ 2,257.29).
