Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2008 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work "Triumph" a racing pigeon, "Young Artistocrat" a racing pigeon by Andrew Beer. The price achieved of GBP 875.00 (€ 1,111.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Andrew Beer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sky Pilot; And Guiding Star, which sold at auction in June 2006 for GBP 1,560.00 (€ 2,257.29).
