Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Andres Serrano could be acquired at Christies in New York in April 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work Klanswoman (Grand Klaliff II), 1990; And Nomads (Payne), 1980 changed hands for USD 9,000.00 (€ 7,129.28) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andres Serrano achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Piss Christ in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 314,500.00 (€ 233,776.85).
