In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian auction, the work Night Of The Warrior Dance sold for HKD 400,000.00 (€ 37,957.92) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Andres Barrioquinto have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Arms Around Your Love in October 2018 with an auction result of HKD 2,000,000.00 (€ 225,202.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Andres Barrioquinto erzielte im Oktober 2013 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian wurde die Arbeit Night Of The Warrior Dance für HKD 400.000,00 (€ 37.957,92) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Andres Barrioquinto auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Arms Around Your Love im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.000.000,00 (€ 225.202,97).
