A top price for Andres Barrioquinto
When the work Arms Around Your Love by Andres Barrioquinto was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 400,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than five times as high at HKD 2,000,000.00 (€ 225,202.97). This high result makes Arms Around Your Love the most expensive artwork by Andres Barrioquinto that we have observed at auctions so far.
