Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2018 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work Modern Love by Andres Barrioquinto. The price achieved of HKD 250,000.00 (€ 26,379.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Admittedly, works by Andres Barrioquinto have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Arms Around Your Love in October 2018 with an auction result of HKD 2,000,000.00 (€ 225,202.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2018 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Modern Love von Andres Barrioquinto zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 250.000,00 (€ 26.379,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Andres Barrioquinto auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Arms Around Your Love im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.000.000,00 (€ 225.202,97).
