Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2015 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Heaven's Maze by Andres Barrioquinto. The price achieved of HKD 162,500.00 (€ 19,067.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andres Barrioquinto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Arms Around Your Love in October 2018 with an auction result of HKD 2,000,000.00 (€ 225,202.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2015 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Heaven's Maze von Andres Barrioquinto zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 162.500,00 (€ 19.067,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andres Barrioquinto erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Arms Around Your Love im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.000.000,00 (€ 225.202,97).
