This artwork by Andres Barrioquinto achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2019. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Afternoon Session auction, the work Colossal sold for HKD 237,500.00 (€ 27,545.60) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Andres Barrioquinto have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Arms Around Your Love in October 2018 with an auction result of HKD 2,000,000.00 (€ 225,202.97).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Andres Barrioquinto erzielte im November 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Afternoon Session wurde die Arbeit Colossal für HKD 237.500,00 (€ 27.545,60) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 120.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Andres Barrioquinto auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Arms Around Your Love im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.000.000,00 (€ 225.202,97).
