This artwork by Andres Barrioquinto achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2015. In the Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction, the work Chasing The Scream sold for HKD 437,500.00 (€ 50,562.18) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 180,000.00. Admittedly, works by Andres Barrioquinto have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Arms Around Your Love in October 2018 with an auction result of HKD 2,000,000.00 (€ 225,202.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Andres Barrioquinto erzielte im April 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Chasing The Scream für HKD 437.500,00 (€ 50.562,18) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 180.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Andres Barrioquinto auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Arms Around Your Love im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.000.000,00 (€ 225.202,97).
