In April 2007 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction 19th Century EuropeanArt, which included the work Wintergezicht met schaatsrijders: a busy day on the ice by Andreas Schelfhout. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 524,800.00 50% above the upper estimate. With this result, Wintergezicht met schaatsrijders: a busy day on the ice is even the most expensive work of art by Andreas Schelfhout that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im April 2007 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion 19th Century EuropeanArt durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wintergezicht met schaatsrijders: a busy day on the ice von Andreas Schelfhout zur Versteigerung kam.
