In April 2001 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work The Photojournalist (Dennis Stock, Magnum Photographer) by Andreas Feininger. The »bidding war« ended at USD 41,125.00 (€ 46,343.25), 18% above the upper estimate. With this result, The Photojournalist (Dennis Stock, Magnum Photographer) is even the most expensive work of art by Andreas Feininger that we have observed at auctions so far.
