In March 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included the work The Entombment (Bartsch 3; Hind 2; Martineau 39) by Andrea Mantegna. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 9,375.00 (€ 12,961.43), 56% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andrea Mantegna achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Triumph Of Alexandria in January 2020 with an auction result of USD 11,654,000.00 (€ 10,505,724.33).

Im März 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Prints & Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Entombment (Bartsch 3; Hind 2; Martineau 39) von Andrea Mantegna zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 12.961,43) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andrea Mantegna erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Triumph Of Alexandria im Januar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.654.000,00 (€ 10.505.724,33).
