Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

In April 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included the work A Bacchanal With Silenus (Bartsch 20; Hind 3; Martineau 75) by Andrea Mantegna. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,679.78). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andrea Mantegna achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Triumph Of Alexandria in January 2020 with an auction result of USD 11,654,000.00 (€ 10,505,724.33).

Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Im April 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Prints & Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Bacchanal With Silenus (Bartsch 20; Hind 3; Martineau 75) von Andrea Mantegna zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.679,78) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andrea Mantegna erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Triumph Of Alexandria im Januar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.654.000,00 (€ 10.505.724,33).
