It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 1,969.30) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by André Léon Larue have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A young gentleman called Alexandre L[..., in fur-bordered bottle green coat, open white shirt and red checked scarf loosely knotted, fair hair and moustache|AID716323] in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,690.23).
