The price achieved of GBP 657.25 (€ 1,029.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by André Léon Larue have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A young gentleman called Alexandre L[..., in fur-bordered bottle green coat, open white shirt and red checked scarf loosely knotted, fair hair and moustache|AID716323] in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,690.23).
