Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2006 Christies in London held the auction Silver and Plate, Portrait Miniatures, Objects of Vertu and Icons, which included the work A young child in scarlet dress with scalloped collar and cuffs by André Léon Larue. The price achieved of GBP 360.00 (€ 519.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by André Léon Larue achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A young gentleman called Alexandre L[..., in fur-bordered bottle green coat, open white shirt and red checked scarf loosely knotted, fair hair and moustache|AID716323] in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,690.23).

Im April 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion Silver and Plate, Portrait Miniatures, Objects of Vertu and Icons durch, in der auch die Arbeit A young child in scarlet dress with scalloped collar and cuffs von André Léon Larue zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 360,00 (€ 519,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300,00 – 400,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von André Léon Larue erzielen.
