The work Before the lesson by Anatoly Shapovalov was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2011. The result of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,252.34) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anatoly Shapovalov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Before The Performance, which sold at auction in May 2006 for GBP 4,800.00 (€ 7,006.44).

Die Arbeit Before the lesson von Anatoly Shapovalov kam im April 2011 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.252,34) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Anatoly Shapovalov mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Before The Performance beobachtet, die im Mai 2006 für GBP 4.800,00 (€ 7.006,44) versteigert wurde.
