In May 2012 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Young ballerina by Anatoly Shapovalov. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,187.50 (€ 1,479.57), 48% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Anatoly Shapovalov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Before The Performance in May 2006 with an auction result of GBP 4,800.00 (€ 7,006.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 48 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Young ballerina von Anatoly Shapovalov zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.187,50 (€ 1.479,57) und damit 48% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anatoly Shapovalov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Before The Performance im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.800,00 (€ 7.006,44).
