Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled: Silueta Series, Mexico, 1976 by Ana Mendieta was auctioned at Christies in New York in July 2017. It changed hands for a price of USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,813.46) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ana Mendieta achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (From the Fetish Series) in February 2008 with an auction result of GBP 102,500.00 (€ 134,065.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled: Silueta Series, Mexico, 1976 von Ana Mendieta kam im Juli 2017 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.813,46) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ana Mendieta erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (From the Fetish Series) im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 102.500,00 (€ 134.065,98).
