The work Untitled (Glass on Body Imprints) by Ana Mendieta was sold in the 20th C. & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session auction at Phillips in New York in November 2019. The »bidding war« ended at USD 75,000.00 (€ 68,064.25), 67% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ana Mendieta; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Untitled (From the Fetish Series) sold at auction in February 2008 with the realized price of GBP 102,500.00 (€ 134,065.98).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Glass on Body Imprints) von Ana Mendieta wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion 20th C. & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 75.000,00 (€ 68.064,25) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Ana Mendieta; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Untitled (From the Fetish Series) im Februar 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 102.500,00 (€ 134.065,98).
