Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Sothebys in London held the auction The Surya Collection: Property from Mrs. Ute Rettberg, which included this untitled work by Ambadas Khobragade. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,560.00 (€ 8,893.62) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ambadas Khobragade have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 36,500.00 (€ 46,429.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Surya Collection: Property from Mrs. Ute Rettberg durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ambadas Khobragade zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.560,00 (€ 8.893,62) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ambadas Khobragade auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 36.500,00 (€ 46.429,60).
